"I Formed You By Hand"

I FORMED YOU BY HAND like a potter creating a masterpiece with clay. Since the beginning of time, I've watched humanity evolve and create pieces of art that you have admired in awe and disbelief. How could anything so beautiful exist?

My child, when you rise in the morning and peer at your reflection, keep this in mind: you are the greatest masterpiece there ever was and ever will be.

Every function you've been given was intentional and every feature made with love. The enemy has tried to distract you with obsessions of physical standards related to beauty so that you might feel lesser than and unworthy.

Yes, sin may account for small physical imperfections that you see within yourself, but that should not be your primary focus.

Why do you think I look at the heart when man looks on the outside? It's because your soul is fully protected by my love; it cannot be damaged or marred. Your beauty does not lie within what earthly eyes can behold… it comes from your heart.

So today, as you look in the mirror, remember just how much I love you and how beautiful you remain to me.

Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
